AlfaGate is a society and community management platform developed and operated by AlfaStack Solution Private Limited ("AlfaStack", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the AlfaGate website and mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you or your society administrator set up an account, we collect:
- Name, mobile number, and email address
- Flat/unit number and society or community details
- Profile photo (optional)
For gate and visitor management, we collect:
- Visitor name, contact number, and vehicle details (if applicable)
- Purpose of visit, and entry/exit records
From the device you use the app on, we automatically collect:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Diagnostic and crash information
How we use this information
- To provide society management services — billing, complaints, amenities, and payments
- To facilitate visitor and security operations at the gate
- To enable resident communication — notices, announcements, and alerts
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with:
- Authorized administrators of your own society
- Security personnel assigned to your community's gate
- Service providers who support AlfaGate's operation (e.g. hosting, SMS/push notification delivery), bound to use it only to provide that service
App permissions
The AlfaGate mobile app may request device permissions it needs for a specific feature — camera and photo library for visitor and profile photos, and notifications for society alerts. Each is requested only when the related feature is used, and can be withdrawn at any time from your device's system settings; doing so only limits that specific feature.
Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
